Why we built Ruvoras
Software that respects how Indian salons actually run
The team building Ruvoras
Most salon software was designed somewhere else, for a business that isn't quite like the ones we grew up around — where the owner is on the floor all day, the front desk is a phone that never stops ringing, and the internet drops out twice before lunch.
We started Ruvoras after watching salon owners across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities juggle three notebooks, a WhatsApp inbox, and a calculator just to close the till each evening — while paying for software that assumed none of that was true.
So we built for the constraints instead of around them: WhatsApp as the primary channel because that's where clients already are, GST-correct billing because compliance shouldn't be optional, and a system that keeps working when the connection doesn't.
“We didn't want to build another dashboard that looks good in a demo and falls apart on a Tuesday afternoon with a queue of clients. We wanted something a salon owner in Indore could trust with their revenue.”
The Ruvoras Team
Our north star
Built offline-first, WhatsApp-first, India-first
Our north star is a 45-year-old salon owner in a Tier 2 city, running her business on a mid-range Android phone and a 4G connection that isn't always reliable. Every product decision — from how we handle billing to how reminders get sent — starts with whether it still works for her.
Ready when you are
